Really Mom!?

You can tell it is going to be a bad day when you put cereal in your child's sippy cup and juice in the cereal bowl and actually hand it to your child! I had no clue why my son was looking at his bowl then looking back at me. I finally looked at him and said "What?". His reply while pointing to his bowl "Really Mama!?".

Calm down, Mama, calm down!

While getting Brandon ready for bed the other night he told me that he was hungry. I asked him what he wanted and he said "cereal, no milk!". I gave him a little bit of his favorite cereal, Rice Krispy Treats Cereal, in a bowl so he could munch on it while he watched The Upside Down Show to wind down for bed. Apon handing him the bowl he turns around to walk to his bed and stumbles over his own feet. The conversation between the two of us went something like this:

Me: Oh Brandon!

Brandon: (standing up, holds up both of his hands as in a manner for someone to stop) Calm down, Mama, calm down! I got this! Just calm down!

What more could I say?

Me so happy....

Getting my kids to clean their room is almost like nailing Jello-O to a tree. I pretty much have to bribe them to get it done. I offered to pay Kayla the other day if she would help Brandon clean his room. Not a very hard task to do, just needed to pick up all of his 5,000 cars off the floor. Once all was said and done it was time for bed. Brandon goes to his room to go to bed, gets on his bed and says "Mama, me so happy!". I asked him what made him so happy and he tells me "My room is so clean for me to mess up again!". Guess I will be paying Kayla next week too!

The Blame Game....

Today like any other day Brandon was playing with a toy tractor that I got him that looks like the one my dad has and also came with a trailer that hooks to it. Upon one of my walks to the kitchen to get him a snack I find the tractor on the floor with the trailer detached. I picked it up only to find that its broken. The conversation between myself and my 3 year old went something like this:

Me: oh no you broke your tractor!!

Brandon: no, sissy did it!

(it was fine when he went into the living room with it to watch "toons" and Kayla was not home, she was at school)

Me: (laughing) sissy did it?

Brandon: yep, sissy did it, kick her in the butt!! (he then proceeds to kick his leg up in the air as if to show me how to do it)

And the Blame Game has begun!

Not the Baybee....

Two days ago I was talking to my son and made the comment to him about him being my baby. Well that did not set too well with him. The conversation went something like this.....

Me: "You are my baby."

B: "Not tha Baybee, Mom"

Me: "Well, if you are not the baby then what are you?"

B: "I turn Bubs"

All from the mind of an almost 3 year old!
